epaselect epa13315578 A fully restored Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IXe JT-10 (R), serial number 633, and a Hawker Hurricane NN-D (L) fly over Tocna Airport in Prague, Czechia, 19 October 2026. Built in 1945, the Spitfire served with the Royal Air Force's 312 Czechoslovak Fighter Squadron and was flown by Czechoslovak pilots during World War II. It later served in Israel before entering a private collection and returning to the Czech Republic from Australia following extensive restoration work. The event also brought together two aircraft associated with Czechoslovak airmen during World War II, the Supermarine Spitfire and the Hawker Hurricane. EPA/MARTIN DIVISEK
